This is a nasal snuff I found laying around in my tobacco collection. I have not sniffed into this one in quite a while, so I was excited to dive right in. With a name like "Caribbean", I was expecting a fruity, tropical taste; but that is not what I got...
However, what I did get was a pleasant tobacco heavy flavor with hints of grassy, earthiness. I got some sense of rum barrel taste in it, but that was quite subtle. No sweetness, even though the tasting notes listed on this product include demerara sugar and raisin. I did not pick up on those too much. Maybe my nose is broken? I was hit was a bit of ammonia scent right away that is characteristic of foreign snuffs. Overall, a quite enjoyable experience, with an earthy pungent flavor that is enjoyable to me. After revisiting, I did get a sense of rum, but not a sweet rum; certainly nowhere near as sweet as the W.E. Garret Sweet Dry Snuff.
Nicotine is nice and kicks how it should, certainly gets you zippy with a few pinches up the schnoz. The sweetness is very light, but I do get a sense of lingering sugarcane scent in my nose over the next couple of hours after taking some of this snuff. Not much of a burn on this one at all, goes up very easily.
