American Spirit Orange

My first time seeing, encountering, or noticing these orange looking American Spirits; I've never tried them before this and had no idea what they were before I bought them.

Upon further research, it turns out that these are supposedly ultralight American Spirits, lighter than even the yellow pack. I was expecting a very airy smoke with these cigarettes, with little body. However, what I got was actually a very flavorful, mellow smoke. It says mellow on the box, I shouldn't have doubted American Spirits, they make some of my favorite cigarettes. Despite these being light, I really enjoyed them, to my surprise.

It definitely did not feel like I was just breathing air, like I felt with those Carlton Menthol 100s. The smoke was easy to take and not very harsh, this may be a good pick for beginners who want to try American Spirits but don't want to jump into the deep end right away. It still has that pure, raw tobacco flavor which I love, just a more toned down version of it. It is hard to define this flavor, as it is a bit muted due to it being so light. Nicotine content was still decent despite how light the smoke was, and it burned for a while, as all spirits do.

It had a nutty, woody flavor, reminding me of oak wood or something along those lines, hard to put my finger on it besides it having a fairly generic taste, perhaps a touch of sweetness. Even though the flavors were muted, I quite enjoyed the smoke. I would recommend cutting the filter 1/3 or 1/2 size if you would like a more full-bodied smoke on this.
